Our goals

At Exploring Happiness our core objective is to increase happiness and wellbeing in society in a sustainable and equal way. With all of our research this is the main goal that we are working towards in our policy recommendations. We believe that progress should be measured against how countries do in achieving this goal. This is what we think Happiness Economics is all about.

In our research we try to be as inclusive as possible and we hope that you find it interesting and approachable. It comes in many different forms. All research articles include a video explaining what we have done and found. We also include a short article on the website which is summary of a longer, more technical article, for those that are interested in the detail. All feedback on our research is welcome - either based on the content of the article or ways to make our research more approachable for everyone.

We have also created a global database with a wide range of indicators focusing on various dimensions of human progress, such as social indicators, economic indicators, measures of happiness and wellbeing, as well environmental measures too. All this data is available on our research data page.

We will continue to evolve as we move forward, especially with our fundraising and volunteering events. We are going to have to learn what works well and what doesn’t so much. This is where you can help us too! If you have any thoughts or feedback or you would like to get involved with what we are doing by working collaboratively together, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we would be more than happy to speak with you.
